Chief Revenue Officer
Scott joined The Bowdoin Group in 2016 as our Chief Revenue Officer. His primary focus is working with our clients and Boston’s innovation economy to grow Bowdoin’s business.
Prior to joining Bowdoin, Scott was VP of Sales at High Street Partners/Radius where he helped build the company from a small start-up to a private equity backed company with nearly 1,000 employees. Before HSP, Scott was VP of Mergers & Acquisitions at Interliant, where he completed 28 acquisitions in just three years, and helped the company to its IPO. Earlier in his career, he helped grow two VC backed companies in various finance and operational roles. Scott has a BS from Babson College in Wellesley, MA.
Scott is also on the Board of Trustees at uAspire, a non-profit focused on college access regardless of a family’s financial resources or college experience. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and son. He also spends way too much time at local rinks playing and coaching hockey, as well as cheering for his hometown Bruins.
Research & Operations Manager
Dillon joined The Bowdoin Group in 2011 and leads our research and operations team across all of our verticals. Dillon ensures we apply a targeted research strategy to identify candidates whose backgrounds are a strong match for our clients’ openings.
Dillon is a founding member of the Bowdoin Cares team and takes pride in driving a positive and inclusive culture at Bowdoin. Dillon is the self-appointed sports czar in that group. Dillon organizes the company's annual Thanksgiving football games, the company golf outing, and other various forms of fantasy sports.
Dillon graduated from St. Francis Xavier University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Dillon is also a Big Brother and volunteers every other week at Nativity Prep.
Vice President, Life Sciences Practice Leader
Justin joined The Bowdoin Group in 2002 and leads The Bowdoin Group’s Life Sciences practice. He partners with his clients to find high impact professionals as well as focusing on large-scale biotech team build-outs, enabling firms to rapidly introduce products to market.
Prior to joining The Bowdoin Group, Justin recruited for Darwin Partners and was a data analyst with the DEA. Justin is a graduate of Providence College with a degree in Business Management.
Justin is married with 3 children (a daughter and two sons). He is actively involved in the Rettsyndrome.Org where he is the co-chair for the annual Cape Cod Strollathon. Justin is also an avid athlete and CrossFit crazy-man who can be seen climbing ropes and throwing kettle-bells around like it’s nothing.
Vice President, Health Tech and Digital Health Practice Leader
Josh is the National Account Manager for The Bowdoin Group’s Healthcare Information Services and Technology practice. Josh joined The Bowdoin Group in 2008 and works with our top-tier information, media, marketing services, and technology companies that service the Biopharma, Hospital, Physician, and Health Plan space.
Prior to The Bowdoin Group, Josh worked at Progressive Insurance, managing a territory of over 400 independent agents in the New England area. He holds a B.S. in finance and marketing from Syracuse University.
Josh participates in the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Massachusetts program through Bowdoin’s partnership with Nativity Preparatory School. He’s an avid Cleveland sports fan (we don’t get it either) and has had lunch with investment mogul Warren Buffett – we wonder who paid?
Director, Strategic Accounts
Beverly joined The Bowdoin Group in 1995 and is a Principal in our Biopharma practice. Beverly brings over 20 years of successful staffing experience and has developed strong relationships within the biotechnology, diagnostics, and medical device space.
Prior to The Bowdoin Group, Beverly was a top producer at a thirty-year-old East Coast-based executive search firm and specialized in staffing for R&D, engineering, and medical device. Beverly is originally from the Midwest and holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Indiana State University.
Residing in Mahwah, NJ, Beverly participates in a community based outreach group that is involved in a wide range of ongoing service programs and special projects to assist those who are in need. She also sings weekly in an adult contemporary ensemble supported by a full rock and roll band at her church.
Vice President, Software & Technology Practice Leader
Paul joined The Bowdoin Group in 2000 and leads our Software & Technology practice. Paul focuses on helping rapidly growing software companies hire the right senior level executives and then works with those executives to build out their teams.
Prior to The Bowdoin Group, Paul served as Founder and Managing Director of Open Solutions, a boutique technology search firm and was a top executive recruiter for Carter/MacKay. Paul is a graduate of Roger Williams University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing with a minor in Business Information Systems.
Paul is married with two sons and is an active member of his community, including his town’s youth basketball program, where he served as President for five years. Paul is also actively involved with YearUp as a volunteer and a mentor. He’s also a former member of his town’s finance committee.
Chief Executive Officer and Founder
Dave founded Bowdoin in 1994 in a small windowless office in Wellesley, Massachusetts. From the beginning, he and his team have been focused on providing superior service through a strategic business approach, exceptional domain expertise, and an obsessive pursuit of excellence. A graduate of Bowdoin College, Dave brings over 20 years of experience as a talent acquisition advisor, serving as a key resource for The Bowdoin Group’s growing client base. Prior to starting Bowdoin, he worked for Procter and Gamble and also held various roles in the staffing industry.
Dave resides in Dover, Massachusetts, with his wife, two daughters and two dogs. Dave isn’t one to sit still and in addition to spending time with his family, he finds running long distances fun and has competed in two Boston Marathons. Dave is also very committed to community service and has spent time in Haiti and Louisiana, helping in the aftermath of their hurricanes. Dave currently sits on the Board of Trustees at the Saint Boniface Haiti Foundation and Nativity Prep Boston and previously acted as chair of Dover’s Warrant and Capital Budget Committees.
Director, Operations and Client Engagement
Lindsey joined Bowdoin in 2013 as Operations Manager. Lindsey is responsible for managing our research and data team and implementing efficient sales and staffing processes. Lindsey also plays a key role in mentoring and developing new employees, serving as a resource as they learn delivery best practices.
Prior to Bowdoin, Lindsey worked at FactSet Research Systems, where she held numerous roles from Consultant to Regional Consulting Director. Lindsey holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Quantitative Economics from Providence College and a MBA in Leadership and Organizational Transformation from Boston University.
Lindsey recently completed her first triathlon and has participated in two Pan-Mass Challenge events which consist of two major accomplishments - riding her bike 190 miles over two days and raising thousands of dollars for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s Jimmy Fund.
Vice President, Financial Services Practice Leader
Tom joined The Bowdoin Group in 2005 and focuses on our Financial Services practice where he specializes in identifying and placing exceptional finance professionals in investment banking and investment management. Prior to The Bowdoin Group, he worked in institutional sales and private banking at UBS and Tucker Anthony in New York. His clients included institutional investment managers, pension funds, regional banks, and high-net worth investors.
A graduate of Trinity College in Hartford, CT, Tom received a bachelor’s degree in history. He has also held several securities licenses, including the Series 7 and 63. .
Tom lives in Medfield, MA where he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, in addition to golfing and fly fishing.
People Operations and Development Manager
Winston joined The Bowdoin Group in 2016 and leads our talent, learning, and development initiatives. Winston is responsible for attracting top talent to Bowdoin, as well as ensuring talent is aligned, developing, and growing.
Prior to Bowdoin, Winston was part of a Post-MBA HR Leadership Development Program at The Hartford. Before The Hartford, Winston worked in education as the Assistant Director of Admission at Milton Academy and Director of Graduate Support at Nativity Preparatory School.
Winston graduated from Trinity College in Hartford, CT with his Bachelor’s Degree and holds an MBA in General Management from the Boston College Carroll School of Management.
In his free time, Winston enjoys giving back to the community as a Big Brother at Nativity Prep as well as a volunteer at Year Up. Winston loves sports, especially basketball and football, and can be found watching or playing on the weekends.
Vice President, Technology Practice Leader
Jim leads The Bowdoin Group’s Financial Information Services and Technology practice. He’s responsible for managing our client relationships and executive searches in the financial information and analytics hubs of Boston, New York, and Chicago. Jim has been with The Bowdoin Group since 2006 and graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a Bachelor’s degree in communications.
Jim is a NH native and enjoys spending time with his family and friends, traveling, running, snowboarding and live music. He is a TV and film aficionado and would gladly go toe-to-toe with anyone when it comes to trivia and quotable lines.
Partner, Information Services & Media
Sean created and now manages The Bowdoin Group’s Information Services and Media Practice, which includes expertise in Healthcare Information Services & Technology, Financial Information Services & Technology, and Media. In this role, Sean works extensively with and advises our clients on talent acquisition strategy, large hiring projects, and executive searches. Sean brings 20 years of experience to the team and earned a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from St. Anselm College.
Sean is married with two daughters and a son. An active member of his local community, Sean serves on the board of The McCourt Foundation, which raises funds for research and treatments of Multiple Sclerosis and Alzheimer’s diseases. Sean is a huge Boston sports fan and enjoys coaching his kid’s soccer games. He’s also often seen running through the streets of Wellesley during lunch, leading the Bowdoin pack and preparing for his BAA Boston half and full marathons.
Chief Operating Officer
Karen joined Bowdoin in 2012 as our COO and is responsible for driving operational excellence, customer success and employee engagement, while scaling the business to support our continued growth.
Prior to joining Bowdoin, Karen was Vice President, Sales Strategy and Global Operations at Pegasystems Inc. Karen also spent 13 years at Boston Communications Group, as CFO and Human Resources Executive, where she helped grow the company from a start-up to a publicly held enterprise. Karen graduated from Boston College with a degree in Accounting and spent over six years with EY. Karen currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Boston College Technology & Entrepreneurship Council and is active helping students through Northeastern University’s D’Amore-McKim School of Business Graduate Career Center.
Karen has also been involved in several non-profit initiatives, including co-chairing events to raise funds for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and serving on the Board of Directors of Teen Voices, a journalism mentoring and leadership development program for teen girls. Karen is an outdoor enthusiast and has survived many adventures traveling by bicycle or foot through Nepal, Vietnam, Burma, Turkey, Peru, and Australia.
