Justin Endres, Director, Life Sciences/Biotechnology
Justin is a member of The Bowdoin Group’s Life Sciences Division. Since joining the company in 2002, Justin has consistently been a top performer and award winner. He has built an extensive network of the industry’s top talent among sales and clinical research professionals. Justin has successfully managed several large scale projects for pharmaceutical and biotech clients.
Prior to joining The Bowdoin Group, Justin was a recruiter focused in IT staffing with Darwin Partners and was also a data analyst with The Drug Enforcement Administration.
Justin is a graduate of Providence College with a degree in Management. He is married and has a daughter and son. He is actively involved in the International Rett Syndrome Foundation and co-chairs the Cape Cod Strollathon benefiting the foundation.
Jordan Goldberg, Vice President, IT Consulting Practice
Jordan joined The Bowdoin Group in 2006 as a partner to launch the IT Consulting Practice and serve as its vice president. Prior to The Bowdoin Group, he was a director with The Atlas Group, an enterpise software consulting firm that focused on emerging technology.
Earlier, Jordan held lead consulting and management roles at Nokia, Spotfire (acquired by TIBCO) and Avaki Corporation (acquired by Sybase). Previously, Jordan was a principal consultant with Benchmark Solutions, a national professional services firm that provided integrated outsourced recruiting strategies for high-growth technology companies. He began his career with The Registry (later Renaissance Worldwide), a $600 million global technology solutions and management consulting firm.
Jordan graduated from Northeastern University and currently lives in Newton with his wife and two sons.
Bev Lania, Principal, Life Sciences/Medical Devices
Beverly Lania, the Bowdoin Group’s first employee, grew up in the Midwest and graduated with a BS in elementary education from Indiana State University. She began her MS in education but realized she enjoyed sales more. Beverly got her start in business-to-business sales and then spent eight years as a search consultant. Several of those years were in the medical device industry partnering with many of the nation’s top firms.
She joined the Bowdoin Group in 1995. Even with the company’s phenomenal growth, Beverly contends that the Bowdoin Group has maintained the same level of personalized service, integrity and commitment to excellence that initially drew her to it.
Beverly lives in Mahwah, New Jersey with her husband, daughter, two cats and a golden retriever. She enjoys dancing and exercising, is a Girl Scout leader, and on Sunday mornings, she sings in the best rock ‘n’ roll church choir in the Tri-State Area.
Paul Manning, Technology Sales and Marketing
Paul has successfully placed senior level sales, marketing and sales management professionals in the technology industry since 1991. He joined The Bowdoin Group in 2000.
For six years prior to joining the firm, Paul served as founder and managing associate of Open Solutions, a boutique sales and marketing technology placement firm. Prior to Open Solutions he spent three years as a top producer for a thirty-year-old East Coast-based executive search firm. Paul has received numerous awards throughout his career for sales successes, as well as for his contribution to the success of the company. Paul is a graduate of Roger Williams University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing with a minor in Business Information Systems.
Paul is a former Senior Vice President of Membership and Regional Vice President of the Massachusetts Association of Personnel Services. He is an active member within his community including his town’s youth basketball program, where he served as president for five years, and he is a former member of his town’s finance committee. He is married and has two sons.
Brian McCourt, Partner and President, IT Consulting Practice
Brian joined The Bowdoin Group in January 1996 and was responsible for the firm’s start-up and entry into technology staffing. Here he worked as the company’s vice president helping to build out the technology division and other new ventures of the company.
Now president of the Information Technology Consulting Division, he oversees the strategic direction and daily operations of this group. Before joining The Bowdoin Group, Brian spent 10 years in the technology, networking and healthcare space, working for such companies as USTeleCenters, Metropolitan Fiber Systems and Bristol Myers Squibb.
Brian has served on the Board of Directors of The Multiple Sclerosis Society Massachusetts’ Chapter for over 7 years and is the founder and executive director of The McCourt Foundation for MS and Alzheimer’s.
He is a graduate of The University of Rhode Island and holds a degree in business and professional communications.
Dave Melville, CEO and Founder of The Bowdoin Group
Dave founded The Bowdoin Group in 1994 in a small windowless office located in Wellesley, Massachusetts. He and his team have been focused from the beginning on providing superior service through a consultative business approach, exceptional domain expertise and an obsessive pursuit of excellence. While the team has continued to grow and diversify, The Bowdoin Group has maintained its personalized service, competitiveness and commitment to continuous improvement.
Dave is a graduate of Bowdoin College where he majored in Government. Prior to starting The Bowdoin Group he worked in sales for Procter and Gamble and spent 5 years holding various roles in the search industry. He resides in Dover, Massachusetts with his wife, two daughters and three dogs. Dave enjoys running and has competed in two Boston Marathons in support of Dana Farber. In addition to serving on the Board of Directors at Nativity Prep School, he acts as the Vice Chair of Dover’s Warrant Committee and is a member of Dover’s Capital Budget Committee.
Dave now has windows in his office and no longer needs to call his wife to check the weather.
David Peterson, Director of Sales, IT Consulting Practice
David joined Bowdoin Consulting in 2010 as the Director of Sales and a principal. He has over 10 years of business development and sales management experience within information technology consulting. David’s responsibilities include developing and implementing account acquisition and growth strategy for the IT consulting practice. He is also responsible for building and maintaining strategic client partnerships.
Prior to joining The Bowdoin Group, David spent 9 years with Eliassen Group, a $100 million national consulting firm where he was the Director of Sales. He started his career with Aerotek, a global provider of staffing solution, where he was a top performer.
David lives with his wife Melanie in Charlestown, MA. He is an avid Boston sports fan.
Jennifer Price, Principal, Healthcare Information Services
Jennifer joined The Bowdoin Group in 1998 and specializes in oncology and biotechnology industries. Prior to the Bowdoin Group, where she is frequently recognized as a top performer, she served as the first employee at Titan Pharmaceuticals, an umbrella company overseeing four biotech firms in San Francisco, and then as a sales rep for Dura Pharmaceuticals in the Boston area.
Jennifer graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a degree in business and professional communications. On weekends, you may find her lining up at the start of a local road race along the New Hampshire seacoast, where she lives with her husband and two children. She also enjoys yoga and hiking.
Thomas Stevens, Financial Services
In addition to his consulting and executive search responsibilities, Tom assists with strategic planning for the firm’s technology and communications initiatives and serves as a member of the client advisory board for one of the firm’s primary software providers.
Prior to joining The Bowdoin Group in 2005, he worked in sales, trading and wealth management at the firms UBS and Tucker Anthony in New York. His clients included institutional investment managers, pension funds, regional banks, and high-net worth investors, and he held several securities licenses, including the Series 7 and 63.
Tom is a graduate of Trinity College in Hartford, CT where he received a degree in history. He lives in Cohasset, MA with his wife. In his free time, Tom is an avid golfer and fly fisherman.
Joseph Tosone, Principal, Technology Sales and Marketing
Joe has spent much of his professional career with The Bowdoin Group. Joe was the fourth employee at The Bowdoin Group almost 13 years ago, and was a key contributor to the growth of the company during that time. Joe started, and help build, the Telecommunications/Datacommunications Division of The Bowdoin Group. After 8 years in that sector, both as an individual contributor and as a manager, Joe and the group expanded into working within the enterprise software and financial software sectors.
For the past 4 years Joe has been focused entirely on working with financial technology services firms. Joe has primarily placed sales individuals ranging from vice presidents of sales to sales representatives. Joe also has placed client-facing individuals in marketing, sales engineering, sales support, and account management.
Prior to joining The Bowdoin Group, Joe ran his own business doing door-to-door sales. Joe is a 1993 graduate of Dartmouth College, where he played football and baseball. He captained the baseball team and was drafted by the Montreal Expos, playing one year of minor league baseball.
Joe is married, and he and his wife Kelli are the proud parents of two daughters, Gabriella and Sophia.
Sean Walker, Partner and Director, Information and Media Division
Sean created and now manages the Information and Media Division. In addition to managing the team, Sean works extensively with our executive search clients and assists with major accounts. He has been with The Bowdoin Group since 1997.
He has 15 years of sales and recruiting experience, having worked as an account executive for MCI Communications and MFS Intellinet. Sean holds a Bachelors degree from St. Anselm College, and is married with two daughters and a son.
Sean serves on the board of The McCourt Foundation which raises funds for the research and treatments of Multiple Sclerosis and Alzheimer’s diseases. Sean enjoys running and has participated in the BAA Boston half and full marathon.
